They send a "Renewal Notice" asking you to renew your domain name with them. The cost is very high and they are extremely difficult to deal with regarding updates and changes to your name as time goes on. Please don't fall for their pitch. If your name is managed by ICG Link, we have mechanisms in place to keep it from expiring and we pass our volume discount on to you. Another one is Listing Corp. who sends letters in the US mail offering a search engine listing service for your domain name. The letters make it look like you are renewing something you have always had by calling it your Annual Listing. This is nothing more than a solicitation and in our opinion their service is not a particularly good value. |
