ICG Link News06.25.08 Search Script FeaturesOne of the handy scripts built into our hosting is our search script. Using this tool, you can avoid the need for PHP, ColdFusion or SQL databases when performing simple database searches. This is handy for displaying products, names and addresses or any other information you would like to deliver from a database to your web pages. It's easy to use, too. You just upload a tab delimited text file to your /data folder and follow the script instructions to create two elements. One is the template page telling the script how you want to display the information and the second is the call to the script that tells it how to search the data. For more information on how to use the tool, see the search script instructions. Also, using our form, search and replace scripts in combination, you can even build an administrative "back office" section for your site to add, edit or delete information in the data file.
